Our class had two "Tweeters" this week!
G was our Tweeter on Thursday and N was our Tweeter on Friday.
This is great because they capture the exciting things happening in Room 44
while I am working with classmates.
You can follow our class on Twitter @cacioppoleaders
We finally have a summer squash seedling!
We watched the park district work on digging the hole for the Arbor Day tree planting.
We worked on our historical fiction book club brochure!
We learned about 7 elements to historical fiction:
character, dialogue, setting, theme, plot, conflict, and world building. The characters could be based off of real or imaginary individuals.
We made observations in book club on our characters and how they have changed from the beginning of the story/because of what has happened in that time period.
We are working on writing our essays.
We took time out of our day to watch the Arbor Day ceremony at Kipling!
We worked on creating digital cards to show our appreciation for Mr. Elbert and Mrs. Logemann!
We enjoyed our first day of ABC countdown with Art Day!
Kids were busy drawing and creating!
We worked on adding to our historical and story timelines for our book club books!
We are applying what we are learning with area and perimeter as we work on designing a zoo!
It was a great week!
Enjoy the beautiful weather.
