Out of Order... Persuasive Essays, Geometric Manipulatives, Outside Fun, and More!

 On Friday, we explored different geometric manipulatives like 
Geoboards, x-y axis boards, and Tangrams.












We collaborated with partners on our persuasive essays!






We shared our finished essays with our classmates and paused for a class photo!




We had a blast on the playground!









The kids are really into typing.com

We are working on keeping our fingers in home row when we type.














We are adding our final touches to our essays.











We learned about scales for measurement on a map.
We tried to locate cities that are approximately 500 miles, 1,000 miles, and 1,500 miles away from Chicago on our maps.



We are having fun learning about state locations.

Persuasive Essays, Kickball with Buddies, and Typing!

 

During our FLEX time, we started a new typing website called:

https://www.typing.com/

The kids can sign in through Google and practice their typing skills each day!

We are learning about how to have our fingers ready in home row so we can access all of the keys.





We were invited to listen to non-fiction writing from Ms. Carr's 2nd graders in the MEG.













"I AM" Day!
Kids brought in 2-3 items from home to share with the class so we can learn more about each other.
We realized many connections with classmates, as well as unique experiences!









Our Zoo Project is almost done. 
We are working on the final pieces.

reading books with classmates.
